Zentavo is built so that your money stays yours, and so does the information about it. This policy covers the Zentavo iPhone app and Zentavo Web (zentavo.marketsoleil.com/app). In short: we don't collect your data, we don't have a server that could hold it, and we can't see it.
Everything you add to Zentavo — transactions, bills, budgets, debts, goals, income sources, accounts, receipt photos and settings — is stored on your iPhone. If iCloud is on for Zentavo, Apple also keeps a copy in your own private iCloud database so it syncs to your other devices. That copy is tied to your Apple ID and protected by Apple. The developer of Zentavo has no access to it.
The Zentavo app makes no network connections of its own. There is no Zentavo account, no bank login and no analytics.
If you set up the optional automations in Apple's Shortcuts app, Shortcuts hands Zentavo the text of the emails or notifications you choose — for example a receipt, a bank alert, a bill payment or an Apple Pay purchase. Zentavo reads the amount, merchant and date on your iPhone and saves the entry with your other data. The text is not sent to us or to anyone else. You can turn these automations off in Shortcuts at any time.
Receipt photos are read on your iPhone and saved with the entry. Ask Zentavo answers with Apple's on-device intelligence: your questions and your figures stay on your iPhone. If you allow it, Zentavo adds your entries to Siri and Spotlight search on your iPhone; you can turn this off in Zentavo's Settings.
Zentavo Web is a page in your browser that signs you in with your Apple ID through Apple's CloudKit service and reads your Zentavo data straight from your private iCloud. Your data goes from Apple to your browser and is kept only in the page's memory while it's open; nothing is stored by us. Apple sets a sign-in cookie so you stay signed in (up to about two weeks, or until you sign out). The page itself is hosted on GitHub Pages, which, like any web host, may log basic request information such as IP addresses. It loads no ads, analytics or third-party fonts.
Tips are in-app purchases handled entirely by Apple. We receive no payment details and no information about who you are.
We do not sell, share or transfer your data, because we never have it. Zentavo uses no advertising, tracking pixels, fingerprinting or data brokers.
In Zentavo, Settings → Reset all data deletes everything on your iPhone and in your iCloud copy, on every device signed in to your Apple ID. Deleting the app removes the copy on that iPhone, but the iCloud copy stays until you reset or remove it in your iPhone's Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Zentavo. You can also make a backup file of your data at any time from Settings → Back up everything; that file is yours and stays wherever you save it.
Zentavo is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new date.
